OK, its been a couple of months now, and there have not been any WMD stockpiles found.. Could it be that Saddam destroyed his weapons sometime before the war? Could it be that Saddam hid his weapons prior to the war?

Obviously and according to the many reports, the Saddam loyalist that have been captured thus far, have not been too cooperative in revealing the arsenal of Saddam’s WMD’s. I would think the reason being is that Saddam was so secretive and protective of his secret weapons, that only a very few of a trusted group of individuals and military would know where they were, if even that many would know of the whereabouts. Some of those military commanders should know where they are at.. How else could they deploy them in a timely fashion if (god forbid) they had ever needed to.

I read what some of these left wing columnist have to say on the subject and it seems that they are hoping that none are found so that they can use the subject matter when the 2004 elections come up. I don’t think there is a day that goes by without someone chiding Bush or Blair by casting up the reasoning for going to war was Saddam and his WMD’s was a direct national security threat to the U.S. and the U.K. and the rest of the world .

Personally, I’m not surprised one bit. Because before the start of the war and right up to it and even during the war, Russian intelligence was very active in Iraq. The SVR (foreign intelligence) and GRU (military intelligence) units were gathering all records connecting Russia to the Iraqi regime and more and directing the regime and Saddam on what to do with the WMD’s. If that is not true, then where is the archives?? Oh yeah, lets blame it on the looters. Putin is no fool.

Contrary to what some think, Putin is no friend of the U.S. . He is a master at double cross and deception. He knows how to manipulate a situation for the benefit of his own interest (Russia). He can divulge information that makes him look like the good guy, when in reality he plays his double game.

So getting back to the question of “where are they?” I would think that they are still there, just waiting for right person - with a brain to find them and dig them up. In the meantime, lets hope they don’t fall into the wrong hands. Hopefully, they will be found before 2004 or lord have mercy..
