Thu, Apr. 27, 2006 - Knight Ridder Newspapers - British Petroleum's chief executive officer, Lord John Browne, suggests that you blame financial speculators for running up the price of oil futures, the contracts for future delivery of crude oil.  Fri. Apr. 28, 2006 U.S. economy bounded ahead in the opening quarter of this year at a 4.8 percent pace, the strongest growth spurt in 2 1/2 years and then the Energy companies take it all!

The Crude Story

Here is a story, from Post Gazette.com Business News dated 06/04/2005, where a U.S. Government Department of Energy Official named  John Cook, director of the petroleum division at the agency's Energy Information Administration was coaxing up the price, and acting as one analyst put it - a cheerleader to run up the price of crude.

The Quote from Tim Evans of IFR Energy Services in New York :

"Oil analyst Tim Evans of IFR Energy Services in New York said he considered Cook's comments to be irresponsible, given the climate of fear already permeating the market.

"He's acting more like a cheerleader for the rally than he is an analyst, or a keeper of the numbers," said Evans, whose own analysis has led him to conclude that hype and speculation -- not genuinely tight supplies -- have pushed oil prices to record levels.

"There is this ingrained belief that even if the market's not tight today, it's going to be tomorrow," Evans said.

The chart below, I pulled and analyzed back in April of 2005. I believe it shows that from Nov. 2001 forward to the present, the price of crude continued to climb to unreasonable levels for no good long term reason, similar in nature to the wild spending by the Bush administration and government (against conservative principles) and wild legislating that ensued right after 9/11 terrorist attacks which I did not agree with, and I still don't to this very day.

Not that I'm insinuating that Bush has anything to do with the high prices, because I don't think he does, but as far as I am concerned, from day one, he has not received the best advice on just about anything. My inclination is, he is not getting the full dope on the reasons for the high crude prices. Obviously, a qualified oil analyst came to the same conclusion as my findings. If I didn't believe in this, I wouldn't be speaking up for it.

Stepping back in time a bit, I really believe, Bush came into the Presidents office uninformed about the international security threats this country faced, just like so many others, that failed to connect the dots. Which I was doing long before President Bush was even running for office.

I want all of my readers to know, that I have never taken one single leak from any U.S. Government official. I prefer to do my own work. I don't need officials to leak classified information to me, I will find my own information legally and ethically, that is what makes the difference from me and the rest of the leaked to class. I can be proud of that. Just to make it clear, I've never had any connection to Cheney or any of the others in the administration, including the President.

Good reliable intelligence just doesn't walk through the front door. It just isn't handed to you. You have to earn respect internationally, and not be a politician, and your connections have to be good people, not someone you don't know through a third party like curveball was. That was pure insanity.
