Spies and Former Spies
Beware Part I
Was the former KGB Lt. Colonel Alexander Litvinenko, a
former spy and defector poisoned by the FSB? Logically,
one would naturally connect the dots here and point to
his previous employer that has a recorded history of
poisoning to death their enemies, and clearly, Mr.
Litvinenko was an enemy of the Russian state.
Naturally, the Russian foreign intelligence service
known as the SVR would be the most likely leading
candidate, motivationally speaking for the alleged
attempted assassination. But if Vladimir Putin knew
about and ordered the attempted assassination, would he
risk an international incident by using a poisonous
element called Thallium, which is a metal, that can be
detected in the blood, and leave a trail of evidence
related to the death, with its obvious tell-tale
physically destructive affects on the human body. The
short answer, its possible. Vladimir has made some
mistakes, but I don't believe he would be this brazenly
stupid.
Mr. Litvinenko, a former KGB officer who had turned
author, was reportedly working on a project concerning
the murder of another journalist Anna Politkovskaya, who
was also famous for her critical reporting of Russian
President Vladimir Putin, the Russian intelligence
services and critical of “his” war in Chechnya.
What seems strange to me is how could a trained and
experienced former spy and Lt. Colonel in the KGB let
his guard down. By that I mean, accepting a drink
without being wary of it, from whomever. Or maybe even,
walking away from your drink or food to go to the
bathroom, answer a phone call or become distracted by
whatever.
Then on the other hand, perhaps he knew the would be
assassin and trusted that person. Perhaps that person is
a wannabe, or has been blackmailed or needs money. Hey,
there is a lot of crack-pots and unbalanced individuals
with monied motivations, or even for political reasons.
Consider a sleeper or double agent. So there would be a
lot of possibilities to work through.
Another part that strikes and stands out to me is that
he states that he cannot remember the details of a first
meeting he had on Nov. 1 in the AM with a stranger whom
he reportedly never saw before and with a friend named
Andrei Lugovoy, who is another former KGB spy.
The reason it stands out to me is because that tells me
that possibly something is running at peak performance
at that point, because he can remember the details of
the second meeting that he attended later on that day at
another location, at the Japanese Sushi Bar, where proof
of those involved in the murder of investigative
journalist Anna Politkovskaya was suppose to be revealed
in documentation. That would be an indication his
memory is functioning just fine at that point, perhaps a
little too fine.
Possibly, he consumed what is known as a cocktail, which
is a mixture. Perhaps the cocktail contained something
to make him feel euphoric, numbing and talkative, and
then a second substance to wipe out his short-term
memory, that could provide cover for whoever slipped him
the near short term, fatal dose of Thallium or whatever.
Complicating matters, there is currently a reward said
to be in the amount of around a million dollars for
information leading to those responsible for Anna
Politkovskaya's death. And along with potential book
deals and speaking fees, that number could rise ten
times. The sky would be the limit. That makes for a very
profound motivation.
Anyone who works in the intelligence business, that had
or has access to deep dark secrets has been trained to
never let their guard down, anytime. It is something you
have to learn to live with forever. It borders on the
edge of paranoid insanity, but it is better to be alive
than be dead.

correction: removed (exiled) from another exiled former
kgb spy. (defective initial info.)
Spies and
Former Spies Beware
Part II
The poison now being reported that killed the exiled
former KGB and FSB officer Aleksandr Litvinenko is
Polonium 210. Initially, it was reported by doctors to
be Thallium. But according to later urinalysis test
revealed by The British Health Protection Agency (HPA)
on 11/24 at a news conference, a large amount of
Polonium 210 has been found in the Mr. Litvinenko’s
urine.
Now we have a problem. If in fact Polonium 210 was used,
as reported by the British Health Protection Agency “a
large amount“, why did it take so long, three plus weeks
to kill Litvinenko? And, where are the certified
toxicology and lab reports at?
Polonium 210, is extremely hot (highly radioactive) and
extremely toxic element. Even a milligram is extremely
dangerous. If it was ingested in a large enough dose, as
what should have been if it was the only poison used,
Mr. Litvinenko should have been dead a lot sooner after
ingestion, not the torturous 22 days he survived
afterwards.
What I believe, and I stated this before, he was slipped
a cocktail. What indicated to me that something else was
at work was when he could not recall the details of the
first meeting of the day. That meeting was with his long
lost friend from Russia and ex KGB Andrei Lugovoy and
another Russian or two around 10:00 AM, at the
Millennium Mayfair Hotel, where witnesses saw him
sipping tea. But strangely, he could remember the
details of the second meeting at the Sushi Bar later on
that day. This cocktail, possibly could have had a
mixture of lethal poisons, along with a drug to make him
talkative, feel euphoric, numb and cooperative (to find
out what he knew). Then another for the short term
chemical brainwash, which would provide cover for the
assassin. Hence, not remembering the details was the
clue. "I wonder if he reported having a headache shortly
after the Nov. 1 meetings"?
Why would a cocktail of different poisons be used?
Answer: To ensure the death of the person to be poisoned
and for punishment (set an example). Because
thallium for example, there is an antidote named
Prussian Blue. But to distract, confuse and ensure, a
second poisonous element could have been added, and
since the radioactive element Thallium 210 has a very
short half life, Polonium 210 would have been added
because of its long half life and extreme toxicity
properties. Making it a very deadly mixture.
Twenty percent (20%) of the Polonium 210 should have
been retained (absorbed) and dispersed throughout the
human body. The balance of 80% would have been
discharged out of the body. So there should be plenty of
evidence left in the corpse.
Polonium 210 is so toxic and highly radioactive, extreme
care would have to be used while handling it. The poison
would have to be encapsulated to protect the assassin
from contamination while administering it in food or
drink. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the
person who handled the poison would not be contaminated.
I am now convinced that there is enough evidence to say
that this was a professional hit on Mr. Litvinenko.
Though I am not prepared to point at the exact
affiliations, but it definitely points back to Russia.
Mr. Litvinenko survived some 22 days after being
poisoned. So apparently, a large enough dose of the
extremely toxic and highly radioactive poison did not
get into his system immediately or was it intended to be
that way. It could be that, he didn’t consume enough of
the drink or food that was poisoned. It could also be
that whoever mixed the poison, intended not to add
enough of the Polonium to cause immediate death. But if
someone wanted to shut him up quickly, that clearly
failed.
TW 11/26/2006
Spies and Former Spies Beware
Part III
As I analyzed and came to the conclusion long before anyone else, there is
now proof that Aleksandr Litvinenko, as the evidence shows, was slipped a poison
in a teacup at the Millenium Hotel bar while distracted. Most likely, by someone
he knew and trusted.
There has not been any official toxicology report released yet. I’m sure they
know the results by now, or at least a partial result. I’m waiting for a full
report to be released.
There is a much bigger picture to all of this than just the Litvinenko
assassination. As incredible as it sounds, is one that most folks would never
imagine.
This whole sad series of recent events is nothing new. It is just another
chapter in a long running operation. Russian intelligence has been operating
like this for many years now. And, they have been getting away with it, and no
one, practically, has been on to it. “They’ve gotten away with it so far, and
they will continue until they are stopped”.
These are very dangerous times we have been living in over the past decade.
Sadly, it isn’t only a “we versus them” plot. It involves nationalities and
personalities spanning the globe.
Russia considered Litvinenko a danger to security, to the future of Putin’s
planning and legacy. Litvinenko was a loose end to that planning. One with some
semblance of credibility, former knowledge and ability to gain knowledge
(information).
I thought, when the announced primary poison used was Polonium 210, there
would be a good possibility, the assassins could be contaminated either through
direct or cross-contamination, that left a “hot” trail to follow.
Polonium 210 spreads relatively easy. In the contamination case of Italian
Mr. Scaramella, it was relatively easy to see how he was contaminated. I
suspect, when Litvinenko and him were passing papers back and forth to each
other at the Sushi bar, this is when the contamination occurred, however, there
could have been other incidental contact involved at that meeting also.
To explain further, the polonium 210 radiation may not be able to pass
through paper, but can be transmitted through contaminated contact, simply by
the infected touching an object, and then someone else touching that
contaminated object. If someone other than the primary target would be
internally contaminated, going to their food, drink, eyes or mouth with their
contaminated hands or object is all it would have taken.
Scotland Yard has had a difficult time attempting to interview Mr. Lugovoy in
Russia. This is no accident. I suspect, the Russian’s are trying to work
themselves into a more positive framework before allowing him to be interviewed.
But the trail leading back to Lugovoy, has been so clear, there won’t be much of
a chance to try and explain away anything.
I really believe, the planners and executioners of the plot believed they
could get away with this type of poisoning, because the radiation was an alpha
emitter, the type of radiation that would not be picked up through most scanning
methods now
in place, like at the airports etc..
Probably, Lugovoy has now become such an liability, perhaps he may be the
next one to be eliminated. To cut the potential ties and reduce the signals
pointing back at the SVR (Russian foreign Intelligence). This could possibly
explain the conflicting reports concerning his health. Could be a precursor to
future events.
Dimitry Kovtun, the other Russian who accompanied Lugovoy to the meeting at
the Millenium Hotel Bar could have been involved, as well as possibly a
third Russian suppose to be present, or in the hotel when Litvinenko was
poisoned.
There have been reports of radiation found at an apartment (flat) in Hamburg,
Germany belonging to Mr Kovtun's former wife, Marina Wall, however, without the
traces being found on the airline used by Kovtun to travel to Hamburg from
Russia and then to London, makes this find very suspect. There also has been
another report of another radiation find in Germany, this one belonging to the
former mother in law of Kovtun. Again, without being able trace to an airline to
or from in any direction, makes this information very suspect, even though still
very possible. The mere trace (low level) of contamination indicates a possible
incidental contact with radiation, and not proof of the source. Nothing has been
ruled out.
Lugovoy has given differing accounts of events over the period since
Litvinenko was pronounced poisoned with Polonium 210. One very important, was
that supposedly he did not remember Litvinenko drinking anything at the meeting
at the Millenium Hotel. But witnesses clearly remember seeing Litninenko sipping
tea.
And another was when he gave a conflicting account to the Russian news
service Kommersant. When he said the meeting at the Hotel took place in the PM,
after the meeting as the Sushi Bar with the Italian Scaramella. That erroneous
information was also published by a British tabloid where Lugovoy gave them an
exclusive interview. Then was picked up by other news services and tabloids.
Looks to me like a lame attempt at a Russian misinformation campaign.
In my opinion, it would seem to be almost virtually impossible for only one,
either Lugovoy or Korvtun, who met with Litvinenko to be a lone conspirator
involved with the poisoning during a short meeting on the morning of Nov. 1. The
answer begets a question, how would you administer poison with one or two others
watching? Or, the practicality of the possibility of someone else watching. Lugovoy has been the most heaviest contaminated individual, and his trails
clearly show that. And it appears, judging from the evidence thus far, that he
could possibly have been the one who administered the poisonous cocktail.
I’ve been warning and writing about these operations run against us for the
last nine years. I’ve had my own numerous close calls and can speak from
experience.
Some of Mr. Litvinenko last words were, "The bastards got me, they won't get
us all'. He had that exactly right.

Spies and Former Spies Beware
Part IV
Over the past couple of months, there have been a
rash of speculative stories published in the press.
Mostly
coming from so called unnamed officials. But to keep the
story going, a new twist is added just about every week.
On 1/21/07, the new story was a mysterious unnamed
Russian, who made the tea and poisoned Litvinenko in a
room of the Millenium Hotel. Here is the link to
an AP story on
Foxnews.com.
Then on 1/22/2004, The BBC
interviewed Litvinenko's wife Marina. She said that
Sasha told her that: "At the Millennium Hotel, Sasha (Mr.
Litvinenko) told me he met Lugovoi and during this
meeting he had drunk tea.
"He said it was tea already served, on the table, and he
just took this cup of tea, and he didn't finish it at
all, and how he later said tea wasn't very tasty,
'because it was cold'." The link to the interview: BBC.co.uk.
Now, on 1/26/2007 an unnamed senior British source claims they found a teapot
that supposedly was used
which held the poisoned tea. Link to that report:
ABCNEWS.com. But in the interview
between the BBC and Marina Litvinenko, she stated that
Sasha Litvinenko told her the tea was already served and on the table
and he just took this cup of tea, and he didn't finish
it at all".
There was no mention of a teapot. Mr. Litvinenko drank
tea from a teacup, not from a teapot, it was the poison
in the cup that that presumably killed him. The
interview between the BBC.co.uk.
and Mr. Litvinenko's wife contradicts the
ABCNEWS.com. account.
The Pine Bar opens at 9:00 AM as
per their schedule.
If there was a contaminated teapot involved, anything in
it would have remained hot between the
time period 9:00 & 10:00 AM. It would make no sense to
poison the entire contents of a teapot prior to the
10:00 AM meeting,
and then only to have a poisoned cup already poured and waiting
for him to drink. Obviously, it only took a swallow or
two to prove to be fatal.
Assuming there was a teapot on the
table, It would have been a lot more effective to let Litvinenko pour his own poisoned tea, or
for someone to pour
from the teapot in front of him, which then would have been
hot and chances are, he would have drank all of it
consuming a higher concentration of the poison.
Another question would be, why didn't
he pour himself a fresh cup from the alleged teapot when
he discovered his tea was cold? Quite possibly, there
wasn't any.
Another possibility would
have been when the staff cleaned up the table, if there
was a teapot on the table or on a cart etc., to pour the majority left in
the cup that Litvinenko did not drink back into the
teapot to transport the cup back to the kitchen for
washing. Perhaps that is how the teapot, if there
was one anywhere near, could
have been contaminated.
Then, according to another
report way back on 12/9/2006 by the Daily Mirror of the
U.K., Scotland Yard detectives quarantined cups
and saucers which showed signs of being
contaminated. The reports also
states seven of the bar staff who clean up the tables or
handled the crockery were contaminated.
The same report by the Daily
Mirror quoted a senior counterterrorism source, "We
think the cup contaminated all the other crockery that
was placed in the same dishwasher". In my
opinion, this would
have in my estimation, produced
a near consistent readout for trace elements throughout all of the crockery
in the dishwasher, because it was all washed together.
The polonium 210 would not penetrate or stick to any
hardened glazed surface after repeated washings in any
appreciable concentrations, unless the glazing was
crazed, but unlikely in a commercial environment for
sanitary reasons.. Here is the link
to that report:
Mirror.co.uk
I'm sticking with the single
poisoned cup theory. I trust the testimony of Mrs.
Litvinenko before any unnamed source and news service
puffing the importance of the report. It was the poison
in the teacup, not an alleged teapot that killed Mr.
Litvinenko.
I wonder what it is going to be
next week, in a contaminated sugar bowl or other
container maybe used for creamer? No wonder Lugovoi is
laughing and the Russian Prosecutor won't cooperate.
The Mayfair Millennium Hotel in
London on Jan. 26,2007 released a statement to counter
the speculative reporting. The X Report.com was offered
and accepted
the following statement from the Millennium Hotel in
London.

TW 1/28/2007
Update 1/29/2007
I've been made aware the
ABCNEWS.com.
so-called exclusive noted above is a planted disinformation story by a Russian
named Oleg Gordievsky. The story is based on his own personal view and not that
of Scotland Yard. Gordievsky is the same source for the "mysterious Russian"
story noted above as an AP article on Foxnews.com. This originated from a TimesOnline.co.uk piece. Both
stories and their sources have been discredited. Gordievsky is wasting
everyone's time. I'm surprised they allow him to do that.
Spies and Former Spies
Beware
Part V
As I analyzed and stated before
starting on 11/21/2006 in part 1, 2 and 3 of this
series, the poison that murdered Mr. Litvinenko was in a
teacup he drank from. A person would be hard pressed to
find anyone else that figured that out right away and be
able to prove it.
Well it didn't take too very long and we now have
another report. This time, the report comes from the
U.K. internet news service,
This is London.co.uk (link) a.k.a The
Evening Standard. The report claims the waiter who
serviced the Litvinenko table at the Millennium Pine Bar
in London is Noberto Andrade, 67 and says doctors only
give him five or six years to live because he has been
fatally contaminated with the poison.
The report makes no mention of any particulars or
specifics other than he served the table with green tea
in a pot. So I left a comment on the story page. Whether
or not they will publish the comment remains to be seen.
I also sent the editor an email to let him know. I will
post the exact comment here I left on their website:
"Mrs. Litvinenko gave the BBC an interview on Jan.
22. Mr. Litvinenko told her the tea was already served
and on the table and he just took this cup of tea, and
he didn't finish it at all, and how he later said tea
wasn't very tasty, 'because it was cold'. She did not
mention he said anything about a teapot. Who purchased
the tea, Lugovoi? Did the server pour the tea into the
cup? Who was seated at the table when he served the tea?
Did he leave the teapot on the table? Did he pour the
remainder of the tea Mr. Litvinenko didn't drink back
into the pot? How did he transport the crockery back to
the kitchen or bar area, on a tray or cart? What type of
ceramics was the cup and pot made from? Was it a smooth
glazed material on the inside? Was the pot washed in the
same dishwasher at the same time as the teacup and
saucer? Did the teapot have a lid on it? Was the teapot
insulated? What time did he serve the tea? Seems this
report raises many questions that need to be answered
before any determination can be made as to whether the
teapot was directly poisoned or the poison was placed
directly into the teacup before the arrival of Mr.
Litvinenko." (Posted to their website @ 11:39 AM EST on
1/29/2007)
It would also be interesting to know how this
unfortunate gentleman came to be so heavily contaminated
with the polonium 210. Because he wasn't only externally
contaminated, but somehow managed to ingest the
contaminated tea, or it entered through a wound, or came
into contact with his eyes
etc..
Again, the report is very short and vague with
statements like, " It is thought the assassin slipped a
capsule of the polonium 210 into the tea while seated at
the table" and in reference to the teacup and pot "Both items
have since been seized by police". But it is well known,
the police have seized a lot more than just that.
So we will see if this is an accurate report or
another load of crap. Keep a watch!

Update 1/29/2007
Something is already fishy. The British tabloid
The
Sun.co.uk (link) is where this report may have originated from.
The report is not exactly word for word, but is just as short and vague
and lacks specifics. Some sentences are exactly the same where others have
different words used in the same sentences. There are a few different sentences
altogether. I've tried to contact the writer Virginia Wheeler for some
clarifications. I won't be holding my breath.
The report in "This is London.com" is probably a recycled version from some
hours earlier in The Sun.co.uk.
TW 1/29/2007
Update 2/1/2007
In a email exchange with Virginia Wheeler, she
confirmed the
This is London.co.uk (link)
article was a recycled version. She avoided answering
any of the questions I asked citing being able to use
only "cursory details " because it is a sensitive police
investigation. But that has never stopped "The Sun"
from publishing details of the investigation before for
legal reasons.
Here is a good example. In a piece published by The Sun titled:
"Italian is
'well' after tests" (link), it goes on to state five paragraphs into the
article "Detectives are convinced Mr. Scaramella was “nuked” as he breathed in
particles coming from the former Russian spy’s food at their sushi bar meeting".
That report has proven to be totally untrue. Mr. Litvinenko was poisoned at
the Millennium Pine Bar, not at the Sushi Bar and Mr. Scaramella, has not been
internally contaminated (poisoned) with Polonium 210.
There are many other inaccuracies in the same story too. Just read the last
five paragraphs. I'm not going to waste any more time on it. I've saved a screen
shot of the story in the event they try and cover it up. This story was written
by their crime editor, M. Sullivan.
TW 2/1/2007
Update 3/2/2007
As I suspected, there was not any person, other than
Litvinenko who was fatally poisoned by the polonium 210.
Nor was there any other person who has been identified
as having been presently sickened or identified as
having been adversely affected in the long term from
trace level exposure to the Polonium 210. The U.K.
Health Protection Agency on March 1, 2007 released its
latest press statement.
There were a total of 700 people tested for exposure
to the Polonium 210. Of those 700 tested, 581 of them
have been ruled out as having been exposed to any level
of contamination.
The health protection agency released the following
report:
Category 1
- 581 people had
results ‘below reporting level' - below
30 millibecquerels (mBq) per day
(natural levels of Po-210 in urine are
typically in the range 5-15 mBq per
day). It is therefore unlikely that any
of these people had been exposed to
Po-210
Category 2
- 85 people had
results above 30 mBq per day in their
urine, but with a dose less than 1mSv
indicating no public health risk, and no
health concern to the individual, but
probable contact with Po-210
Category 3a
- 34 people had
results above 1 millisievert (mSv), but
below 6mSv indicating no public health
risk, and no health concern to the
individual, but probable contact with
Po-210
Category 3b
- 16 people had
results above 6mSv which are not
significant enough to cause any illness
in the short term and any increased risk
in the long term is likely to be very
small

Paul Joyal Assasination Attempt
Some Notes On How KGB Or Other Political Interest
Assassinate
Is it a mere strange coincidence, that four days after an
airing on Dateline about the Litvinenko murder that a
Washington DC based consultant who was interviewed on
the show regarding Russian security services is shot on
his driveway?
According to a media report by the
(International Herald Tribune -
Kremlin critic shot in front of his Maryland home -
link),
an anonymous federal law enforcement official was quoted
as saying " the federal authorities were leaning towards
the view that Joyal was the victim of a street crime
unrelated to his opinions related to Russia".
I would say to that statements, not so fast. That is
exactly how these foreign intelligence services or other
interest operate. Preferably, assassins would make it
look like an accident or use other methods, with no
tracks left in the snow to follow.
Try this on for example. It was real easy to find Mr.
Joyal’s address, age, telephone number and a map showing
where he lived employing a simple search on the internet.
Now that it has been established how easy that was, lets
examine how an assassin would want to operate. Again
they want to make it look like an accident or use
another plausible reason for a motive, other than the
obvious. They would exploit any potential weakness a
target may have. Even search for your medical records, if they
could get their hands on them to see if you have any
exploitable weaknesses.
There would be a multitude of possible scenario’s. I’m
going to pick one out here. One that seems to be a
possibility based on the available public information
released thus far.
In this instance, for the sake of argument, lets call
Mr. Joyal a target. They would look for a weakness in
his lifestyle or whatever would make for a perfect
murder. In this case, the most obvious would be his
proximity to a high crime area.
Lets say the Russian mafia was called upon (and they do
operate here in the U.S.) by the Russian FSB or former
KGB operatives or other interest. They would request a
hit on someone and want to make it look like random
crime. So they hire hit men, maybe they are crack or
other type of junkies and were promised drugs and or
cash.
According to press reports, Mr. Joyal was shot in the
pelvic region. It would be not be very hard to explain
away how he could have been hit there. I know if someone
pulls out a gun on me, I would only need to see the
movement and one could color me gone. That may very well
explain why he was shot in that location. On the other
hand, it’s a possibility to think maybe it was
intentional and was to serve a warning. I don’t know the
exact facts on the matter making it hard to make an
exact determination.
This can’t be so easily dismissed as a random crime.
I definitely would have questions on all of this. A very
serious first question I would have, is why would an
expert on Russian KGB intelligence be so easy to find?
Would you not care about your own welfare and that of
your family (if a person had one) when dealing with
these sensitive subjects?
Now I’m going to tell you what I really believe. I
believe there are a lot of experts and some politicians and
so forth that are in way over their heads on these
matters (that only adds to the confusion). And the
media, they also have a responsibility not to put
peoples lives in jeopardy.
This is definitely one that is going to be hard to prove
one way or another unless the shooters are apprehended
alive, if they still are.
And if you work in these fields and talk openly or write
about these subjects, better get your home addresses off
the internet and start imposing security methods on
oneself, as uncomfortable as it may be.

Spies and Former Spies Beware
Part VII
Joyal Shooting
I usually don’t jump on stories like this at such an early stage. But this one
stood right out.
There have been numerous conflicting reports coming from the media concerning
the facts surrounding the shooting. Some of the initial reporting suggested Mr.
Joyal’s wallet and briefcase were missing, leading many to believe this was a
botched robbery.
I never weighed those misreported facts in.
The newest report comes from NBC4.com/news in Adelphi, Maryland. Their
information suggest it may have been a carjacking. However, that also
corroborates that the area is in close proximity to, if not an area where crime
occurs. That makes it for a perfect backdrop. Motor vehicle theft for
Hyattsville, Maryland, which is less than five miles to the south from where Mr.
Joyal lives, was almost two times more than the national average. This average was based
on the 2005 FBI crime reports.
(link: see 2005 Hyattsville FBI crime report)
Now we have not only shown how easy it was to find Paul Joyal on the internet,
there is now proof that the area he lives in can be subjected to crime. This
could lay the foundation for an attempted hit or warning.
Most of the facts are somewhat sketchy coming from news sources with varying
degrees of connections relative to the true facts.
I’m going to take NBC4 at their word for some of the facts they reported on.
According to their sources, Mr. Joyal was followed home by the assailants.
Additional reporting by the source indicate there were more than one assailant,
as was earlier reported. The reporting also goes on to say that there was a
getaway car involved.
The reporting goes on to state there was a struggle with Mr. Joyal and one of
the assailants. The report also goes on to conclude that it was a carjacking
gone bad.
But that point, assuming a carjacking went bad cannot be solidified with the
facts. It just doesn’t square. If it was a carjacking only, then after shooting
Mr. Joyal, why did not the assailants just take the car and leave? You had a
wounded man probably just laying there incapacitated. They went so far, why not
go the rest of the way?
Obviously there was a firearm used. When a carjacker uses a firearm during a
(carjacking), they are prepared to use whatever means needed to achieve
their objective. But they left the car.
In another report, by the AP via The International Herald Tribune updated
version, Mrs. Joyal was interviewed and wanted to straighten out some of the
facts. She was adamant her husband was not robbed and the briefcase and his
wallet were located.
She stated when interviewed on Monday, "We really have no idea what the reason
was," said Elizabeth Joyal, but she added that "it could easily have been a
random act of violence."
If the reporting from various news sources are accurate, Mr. Joyal was followed
from the International Spy Museum in Washington DC and being followed from there
for a distance of (19) nineteen miles or about slightly more than a half an hour
drive at the very least, but it may have taken a little longer, depending on
traffic and the exact route taken.
The hours at the museum were from 10:00Am till 6:00PM on March the first, the
day he was shot.
So we have assailants that staked out Mr. Joyal’s car in Washington DC, at the
International Spy Museum, in a area being only six (6) short blocks from the
White House . The assailants followed an adult male after a meeting with a
former KGB spy at a spy museum and leaving probably during the latter part of
peak traffic hours and maybe even later. There are some time line discrepancies.
Mr. Joyal, 54 years of age, not appearing debilitated, in a nice car, traveled
for over a half an hour to his home. And then when the assailants pulled up
behind him at Mr. Joyal’s driveway, one of the assailants gets out of the
getaway car, and supposedly attempts to steal the car at gunpoint. Mr. Joyal
puts up a struggle, the assailant shoots him as told to by the assailant driving
the getaway car, (just shoot him was heard by a witness?) and then leaves in the
getaway car after driving quite a distance without stealing the car and after
rendering the subject incapacitated .
In my opinion, very possibly, this was an assassination attempt set up to appear
as a carjacking, which did not go according to plan after Mr. Joyal surprised
the assailants when he struggled and at the same time quite possibly,
interrupted by another witness who was close enough to hear the assailant in the
getaway car shout, “just shoot him“. Or they would have finished their job one
way or another. Not being trained international assassins, they panicked when
disrupted. If they really wanted that car, after all that, they could have taken
it. Another five or ten seconds would not have mattered. It seemed to be more
important to just shoot him and leave the car.

added information on 3/7/2007- "Motor vehicle theft for Hyattsville,
Maryland, which is less than five miles to the south from where Mr. Joyal lives,
was almost two times more than the national average. This average was based on the 2005
FBI crime
reports.
(link: see 2005 Hyattsville FBI crime report)"
(initial research added to paragraph #4 for proof) (Mr. Joyal
has two public home address listings on the net that use the same street name
and address. One is listed as Hyattsville Md., and the other Adelphi, Md.) (Both
maps point to the exact same street address)

Spies and Former Spies Beware
Part VIII
I’ve waited to see how things were going to pan out in the case of Alexander
Litvinenko and Paul Joyal, the American from Maryland who believes his shooting
was a professional hit, which I believe was connected to the Litvinenko case.
It now definitely appears that the Litvinenko case is going nowhere. The
Russian’s have the Brit’s by the gonads over energy supplies, Tony Blair has
high-tailed it, the Bush administration has taken a in public neutral position
on the case and Russia officially refuses to extradite Andrei Lugovoi. No
surprise there.
Lugovoi won’t allow himself to be tried in Britain and wisely so on his part. If
he was truly innocent and not connected to the KGB/FSB, he would willingly
travel to the U.K and defend himself. Lugovoi has the financial means to defend
himself and Britain does not have a death penalty.
The director of public prosecutions for the U.K., Sir Ken McDonald concluded the
evidence was strong enough to charge and extradite Russian Andrei Lugovoi. I
don’t believe the U.K. prosecutorial service will allow the Russian prosecutors
have the evidence and put on a for show only circus trial in Russia or
compromise the evidence.
Perhaps at least, the KGB/FSB is put on notice they cannot get away with
continued international assassinations as easily as before (at least for the
interim). Maybe they will again have to get a little more creative. Make
something look as though it is an accident or crime. That is how its done folks.
You just never know.
Mrs. Litvinenko and Mr. Goldfarb, Mr. Litvinenko’s friend are busy out selling
books, and attending film festivals. Mrs. Litvinenko was interviewed by the
Charlie Rose show recently and spoke of the timeline the day the Mr. Litvinenko was poisoned, which was flawed. Mr. Goldfarb is pushing his own
uncorroborated version (theory) of the events (not publicly backed up by
Scotland Yard).
While this may not have been be helpful to the case, perhaps they did not really
expect the case to go anywhere under the circumstances, so why not go out and
make as much money as you can and keep it in the limelight at the same time.
Personally, I find the former somewhat unhelpful and questionable, but it wasn‘t
my spouse.
This was an act of nuclear terrorism, because it involved and affected so many
innocent people which could have been catastrophic. Amazingly and fortunately,
no one else other than Litvinenko has been killed thus far by the incident.
So the Litvinenko case, barring any unforeseen slip-ups by Moscow or Lugovoi,
will never be resolved.

Spies and Former Spies Beware
Part IX
In retaliation for the Russian government refusal to extradite Andrei Lugovoi,
the Brits have expelled four Russian diplomats and the Russian government in
turn expelled four British diplomats.
Vladimir Putin and the Russian government are now attempting to downplay the
significance of the expulsions of the diplomats, but that is an old KGB trick,
to get you to let your guard down while they secretly and quietly turn up the
heat.
Putin has ordered his air force to harass the Brits by attempting to enter their
airspace. This is reminiscent of cold war tactics. The object is to harass and
test the capabilities of the Brits. This could very well continue into the
future if the Brits don‘t back-off the demand for the extradition of Andrei
Lugovoi .
There have been press reports, there may have been an assassination attempt
against Boris Berezovsky’s life and the perpetrator has been deported. But I
question the lack of facts and evidence about this and because there are a lot
of shady players involved. If there was a murder plot against Mr. Berezovsky,
the British government would not have deported a murder suspect back to Russia.
They would have detained him and sent him to trial, especially after the
Litvinenko assassination. Obviously, there is not any evidence and the talk is
nothing but unsubstantiated conjecture. Possibly, a political stunt.
The news about Paul Joyal has been very quiet as of late. Other than Mr. Joyal
stating he believes he was targeted for assassination, there has been limited
information forthcoming.
Another reason that I discount the motive to be a random street crime in the
Joyal case is due to the simple reason that the persons involved, would not have
been hiding there for any length of time. No one, will hide in bushes, adjacent
to homes, for a period of time, in broad daylight, and then waiting until just
about dusk, to commit a random crime, it is way too risky. The perpetrators
would have had to know somehow when Mr. Joyal was to arrive at home if he was
not followed.
So the questions still remain, did they stake him out and follow him home or
were they tipped off about his travels about when and where. Specifically when
he left the International spy museum in D.C. and headed directly to his
residence. There possibly appears to be some deception regarding the reported
timeline - at least to the press. Either way, seemingly, they most certainly
would have known Mr. Joyal was at the International Spy Museum in D.C. and when
he left to arrive home..
Mr. Joyal was to meet his appointment at or very near closing time on that day.
Obviously, Mr. Joyal spent some time with the former KGB agent and after closing
time of the Museum. Perhaps, they were spending some time in one of the
conference rooms of the International Spy Museum.
Andrei Lugovoi has been very talkative as of late, still claiming his innocence.
He refuses to be tried by any third party country or in the U.K... I also don’t
believe the Brits would try the case outside of the U.K. because the terrorist
act occurred in the U.K and as well as for other reasons..
Mr. Lugovoi appears be very worried that if he would travel outside of Russia,
he would be snatched up in some operation and hauled back to Britain. Lugovoi
has recently stated he will not leave the borders of Russia and that he is very
content to stay within, however, I would not put it past Lugovoi to travel
incognito. At some point, he will probably try it. He has business interest
outside of Russia and he has a very daring type of personality.
I have been thinking, and I’ve been told that when I do that, things can get
dangerous. But anyhow, I wonder if the Brits are having any second thoughts
about the way political dissidents (former KGB agents) have been allowed to
collaborate so openly and freely. Hence, I mean, I would think this could
eventually, lead up to serious national security problems. Take Berezovsky for
instance, not that long ago, he called for the overthrow of the Putin regime
from the safety and the confines of another country, and he has many contacts
and supporters in Russia with which to utilize.. Eventually, this type of across
border political activity will have a negative impact on the host country, in
this case, it is the United Kingdom.
I watched other exiles (& former KGB agent) which now live in the U.K. promote
disinformation regarding the Litvinenko case, and the media sucks it up and runs
with it as though it is the truth. It was not helping with the Litvinenko case
and causes confusion while possibly discrediting the known facts.. So why would
they do it? You tell me…
I recall during either December of 1999 or Jan. of 2000 I was attending an
auction in Hershey, Pa.. Now to put this in a little bit of perspective, prior
to that, I had wrote a couple of articles about someone selling (large volumes)
the Russians some of our high tech (classified) military gear. Not to mention, I
was on to Putin right from the get-go, realizing that a KGB agent taking over as
president of Russia, I just knew there was going to be trouble and wrote about
that too and, helped to neutralize a Russian intelligence operation
successfully.
Anyhow, this person walks up to me, taller than I and starts talking about
politics and then on to about the Clinton’s marital relations while living in
the White House together. He said to me they were just animals, he used the word
vicious more than once to describe them. He stated that how they were warring
with each other and when they were in the White House together, they would be at
opposite ends of the White House just to avoid each other.
Now, I thought to myself, I wonder who this guy is and what he wants to know. He
appeared and sounded to be American. Said he lived in the D.C. area and I
thought to myself, oh boy. So I told him I did a little writing, and the subject
matter we talked about was the Russians. His ears perked up and eyes bugged. I
suppose he thought he would trade a little information with me. To sum it up, I
did not tell him anything that I did not write about previously.
He wanted to know how I did my work and who was telling me this information, I
just told him point blank, I can’t tell him that ( I protect my methodology)… He
just shook his head in an up and down manner indicating he understood, and I
remember, he appeared to stiffen up and his eyes opened up a little wider. He
never identified himself, I never asked, and maybe all for the better. I kind of
thought to myself he was probably FBI, but had no idea he was a traitor named
Robert Hanssen. I never knew that before, until I saw his picture after he was
arrested in 2001, and put together the events before and after this.
“I don’t believe Hanssen was acting alone“. Not too long after the auction,
there was an incident. There has been more than one incident, but I will just
discuss this one for now.
Without going into detail, I will explain it this way for security reasons. The
location where I was working caused me to travel every day across a bridge
spanning a river. It is a highway, where the speeds usually ran around 65 mph
and sometimes faster, sometimes slower. I had developed a pattern where I
traveled across this river at near a certain time each day. Not really paying
attention to all vehicles around me at all times (but I do now) I remember a van
speeding beside me (left side) on the multiple lane highway and cutting over in
front of me. There was not too much distance in front of me. The next thing I
knew was there was a steel ramp thrown out of the van right in front of me. Not
having more than a split second to react, instinctively, I turned hard to the
right, I could feel the pick up truck go on two wheels heading in the direction
of the lane to the right of me, then in the next instance (split second), I had
to cut the wheels hard back to the left, again to avoid crashing into and or
going over the edge of the bridge..
I never got a plate number. No time for that. After some of the shock wore off,
and about possibly a mile later or so, an older four door vehicle drove past me
at a higher rate of speed. A sign was flashed from the rear window as the car
went speeding past with someone holding what appeared a hastily made sign from a
piece of cardboard with lettering, probably scribbled with a magic marker with
the word “AGILE” pressed up against the rear window. Those guys looked really
rough from the brief glimpse I got and there were at least two in the vehicle..
When I think about what would have happened had I hit the ramp with either wheel
or both, chances are that I would have flipped and maybe crashed or rolled and
possibly into the side of the bridge or went over it. I then realized, I
definitely touched a nerve or two somewhere, that was obvious. This was very
professional.
At that point, all kinds of thoughts start flashing through your mind. I was
questioning whether this was related to me neutralizing Russian intelligence
operations, was this Clinton’s hit men, after all, there were stories all over
the place of the Clinton’s having people snuffed out ranging from cocaine deals
to political hits.. Everything ran the full gambit.
This was one of those times when it felt like the universe shown directly down
on you and said, ok Ted, its your time to shine, don’t screw it up.
I thought, holy smokes, who do you trust, my conclusion:
no one. There are spies everywhere operating in the
U.S., a K.G.B. agent and current head of the FSB
(formerly KGB) is named by Boris Yeltsin to be the Russian Vice Prime Minister
and later that very same day, Putin is elevated to the position of Russian Prime
Minister. Then seemingly
right away (7 weeks later), the Russians invade Chechnya and
only a week
into the conflict (ground assault), Putin signs an order to begin oil and
natural gas extraction, the Russians are inciting the
Muslims through Intel operations, the Russians are
kidnapping journalist, the Clinton administration and
the C.I.A. seems oblivious to all of the operations
being run against us, someone was selling the Russians
large quantities of high tech equipment (classified) and using them
against us, the Clintons are attending parties where
they are collaborating with Chinese agents trying to
steal our technologies, I’m cracking Russian Intel
operations, someone is trying to take me out. I thought
man, we have problems, I need to stay alive and do what
I do best.
I was only a nobody, what can I do. Thank God a presidential election was
coming up. We needed a change and it could not come fast enough. That is why I
worked so hard to get Bush elected. I knew we were in big trouble and it seemed
like he was the right guy for the job..
I thought for sure, the C.I.A. and the former administration would brief the new
Bush administration on what the threats were to the U.S.. It seemed to start off
right, the FBI nailed the traitor Hannsen. But that was not to be.
I was in complete shock when President Bush looked Putin in the eye and said he
saw his soul. Thinking, oh my god, he either has not been informed by the C.I.A.
or the former Clinton administration during the transition on the urgent threats
or the totality of them all, or he is trying to use psychology against a
decorated KGB agent. This did not set well with me.
Suppose now, know why I was so fired up. How could anyone go about their
business? Everything was not business as usual, that is why. There were reasons
for all of the activity directed at the U.S.. It seemed like no one was
connecting the dots but me, chided for being a cold war stereotype, a
Russophobe, stuck in the mindset of the cold war, chide all you want, I nailed
it right from the get-go..
Contrary to Democrat popular opinion and some Republicans, I am proud I have
helped to get President Bush elected the first time, re-elected for a second
term and that he is our President.. None of us all of the time may agree on
domestic policies for a variety of different reasons, but most importantly, I
view domestic and foreign policy matters from the standpoint of holding together
a coalition of allies, both here in the U.S. and abroad, that is how we win wars
more easily, by keeping the people close to us through our actions. Simply put,
take care of the people, and they will take care of you.
I don’t believe the President got the full story from day one, and still don’t
believe he has. Maybe the evidence does not exist anymore. Thanks to Sandy
Berger and others.
So for the future, I believe the Brits as well as the U.S., will have to watch
the gates a little more closely. I believe it will be imperative that all known
and suspected Russian intelligence service personnel be denied entry or tracked
and monitored very, very closely. If we don’t, we will be just asking for more
trouble.
In the meantime, all of the smoke and mirrors along with the bursts of hot air
does nothing to resolve the Litvinenko murder. The British government has done
about as much as they can without starting a shooting war with the Russians.
Continued worldwide condemnation and pressure on Vladimir Putin will eventually
have an impact. But I don’t believe he will ever give up Lugovoi, at least
alive. Putin is way too smart for that. I wouldn’t put anything past him.
