Saddam’s
Incomplete Archives
The much
anticipated (entire) report on the captured remnants of Saddam’s
regime archives will not be published on the internet.
Reportedly, the reason is the report is too politically
sensitive, however that would not be the only reason (s).
The most sensitive (top secret) archived information was
destroyed in a "selective deliberate fashion" by
Saddam’s IIS (Iraqi Intelligence Service), and I believe
there are indications this was accomplished under the
direction of Russian intelligence.
There is no way any report could reach any final
conclusions with regard to any ties with al Qaeda based
on partial and incomplete array of captured archived
documents (the ones deemed unimportant - not destroyed).
I don’t believe the report states any such conclusion,
but makes clear based on their available information,
they could not find a smoking gun in the left-over
archives.
Obviously, the pictures of the deliberately and
selectively destroyed files and computer hard drives
(see below) describe a different picture than which the
leaked media reports suggest. None of the earliest media
reports mention any of the deliberately destroyed and
missing archives as a factor in making a determination,
but rather pointedly proclaim there was not any Iraq -
al Qaeda connection. A proclamation which is profoundly
misleading and wrong.
The Institute for Defense Analyses attempted to put
together a picture from a jigsaw puzzle with the most
important pieces missing. Drawing any definitive conclusions based
on partial and missing information can be daunting task,
but can if properly evaluated lead to accurately educated
directions. One such direction is clearly stated in the
report, Saddam relied on state sponsorship of terrorism
as a tool against non-Iraqi’s, which would undoubtedly
include America (an enemy).
Any evidence that would tie al Qaeda and Iraq to
joint terrorist activities and state sponsored support post 9-11 would have
been a priority for destruction (top secret activities).
The reasons, war crimes, crimes against humanity, ties
to other countries, ties to 9-11, etc..
Supporting evidence of Saddam’s intelligence services (IIS)
in action against American interest exist right here on
this website. I have photo’s for supporting evidence,
what do the Iraq war opponents have?
