It Took Me Awhile

By Ted Weaver

5/09/2002

After watching some of the excerpts of Arafat speaking to reporters sometime after he was released from his short term restricted confinement, I started to see this guy for what he really is -a total crazy man that has a hot head and that can be easily manipulated.

Obviously, he is not in total control of his faculties. This was clearly evident when Arafat was pounding his fist on the table while being told what to say or was turning to an aide for information concerning the subject he was talking about. Why? Because he didn't know what he was talking about - just rambling on. At times, it almost appeared as though he was beginning to froth at the mouth.

Another tell-tale sign of trouble is when his so-called aide (chief manipulator) would actually incite him by feeding him information verbally (and you could see this by watching this). The reactions on his face and body language acted just like a thermometer. This goes to explain how he can so easily be manipulated. After viewing the Israeli intelligence information outlining the structure of Arafat and his Fatah terrorist organizations (http://www.israel.org/mfa/go.asp?MFAHOlomO) I got the distinct impression, Arafat was signing his name away on everything to pay for and direct all terrorist activities against Israel. The evidence is overwhelming. This clearly is not a person or organization who wants peace.

I was always wondering why countries like Jordan backed Arafat as much as they did. Jordan is a country which booted out Arafat some 4+ decades ago for the same type of terrorist activity he is now engaged in with Israel. These Arab countries conspire and stick together, because they believe they can exert more leverage over the U.S. and the West on policy issues. By forming an alliance, in which some of them - if not all - fund terrorism either overtly or covertly through people like Arafat and Bin Laden, believe that the use of terrorism and violence affects change and achieves their goals. Their goals are domination and destruction of Israel. It also seems that these terrorist organizations, can be easily manipulated.

40 to 50 years of violence and war, thats all Arafat knows. He is stuck in the death mode. Arafat has become the perfect puppet of some radical Arab nations like Iraq. All the manipulators of the Fatah structure have to do is tell him something verbally and he automatically goes off and signs anything they put in front of him.

What is pathetic here, is the fact that for all of these years, American and Israeli negotiators have been dealing with someone that is manipulated and funded huge amounts of money by outside influences and is morally and or mentally incapable. This explains why the marathon peace negotiations with former President Clinton failed to produce an agreement after Arafat and the Palestinian people were handed the deal of a lifetime. Instead, Arafat chose war, or should I say, Fatah and the radicals along with the outside influences chose war.

(an after thought)

with these huge amounts of money being used to fund terrorism from other arab countries -one ask the question : where the money comes from? the answer is: our oil revenues paid to them, definitely not through the sale of persian rugs!
